Art Literacy Academy Session 1

Instructor Serene Greene is a long-time artist and art educator. In this class, children in grades k-5 will deepen their understanding of individual artists by learning about the different cultures, techniques, and influences that shaped their artistic journeys. Then, inspired by these artists, participants will create their own art by incorporating what they have learned with their own unique style. Lessons will explore the connections between art, nature, science and the humanities with an age-appropriate curriculum. Art develops skills in observation, critical thinking, problem-solving, and above all, a "can-do" attitude. Your budding artist won't want to miss this creative and inspiring class!
